Title



This is the first font we decided on because it was creepy and slightly disturbing. In the end we decided to use a less dramatic font and go with a more suttle but affective one.

The top left hand picture is off the shot were we had all the candles being blown out symoultaniously. This was one of the hardest shots we made because after trying there was always one candle still lit . we are happy with our final shot.
The top right picture is off the juegy board filming wich was most of the film. After the filming we edited all the dream shots so that they flickered and was in black and white , just so that it was different to thesleeping shots so that you could tell the difference.





This is were we filmed our first scene of the man ( ross wood ) having a nightmare in his bed.for this shot we used the birds eye view angle so that we could zoom into the ross' face.

General reaearch into title sequences

A title sequence is the method by which cinematic films or television programs present their title, key production and cast members, or both, utilizing conceptual visuals and sound. It usually follows but should not be confused with the opening credits, which are generally nothing more than a series of superimposed text.

Title sequences have many different jobs to do , for example they have to set the mood or is ussually a taster of what to come in the film.the music in a title sequence also plays a very important part in setting the mood for the viewer.

kyle cooper is the most succesfull modern disigner of motion picture opening sequences.





His work includes the opening credit sequence of seven , arlingtong road ,f lubber , the mummy, zoolander , spiderman , dawn of the dead , spider man 2 , godzilla , superman returns , The incredible hulk , tropic thunder and two of the games of metal geat solid.


His work in the credits field is often compared to Saul bass , another great designer of opening sequences .


Saul bass is a academy award winning filmmaker , but he is best known for his design in animated title sequences.

His work includes the man with the golden arm wich was a film about a man with a heroin addiction . and north by northwest
