props, setting and the script

Props:
because it is only a short title sequence we will not need many props . The most important prob is the jueegie board bacause it reflects the intire film. The other props were the candles to give the room a creepey effect and create light for the important parts of the shot.
The other props were a bed cover and a thew scattered pieces of clothing to create the illusion that we were in a childs room.

Setting:
The whole title sequence was filmed in my mums bedroom as it was the biggest in the house.
With all the props added to this room it really does become a scary atmosphere to play the jueegie board in !

The script:
Because we intended to make a spookey opening sequence we decided not to use a script and just use music to show what is hapening in the film.

We were going to shoot in Luke's bedroom to start off with but we thought his parents room would be more suitable beacuse it was plain and easy to adjust according to the jump in time periods. The whole opening was in one room.

the group/Actors

Emily Dann : she did the camera work as she didn't want to be in the actual film. she helped plan and organise when to film.

Diary

18th January- Me, Georgia Covill and Emily dann went to My house (the set) to film the first half of our opening. Ross, one of our actors came along too. This was successful as we did use some of the clips.

25th January- Me, Georgia, Emily and Rob McDonald went back to My house to film the second half. Dan also was with us as one of our actors. This was unsuccessful as once start editing we realised we needed to re-film as the clips were not long enough.

1st February- Me, Georgia, Emily and Rob went to re-film 2 shots as they were the shots that wasn't long enough.

8th February- This time Rob wasn't in school so we had to re-film the whole thing with me, Georgia, Emily, Dan and Alex stood in for Rob for us. However, this turned out a good thing as it was better this time than before.

Other changes me made...Apart from shooting we changed other things such as the ouji board. We was going to make a real one but because of suspicious troubles we used a piece of carboard and a glass to represent it. Also, we were going to use My younger sister and friends to play the children but in the end we couldn't find the same time schuedule for all of us to we used ourselves instead. We improvised on costumes as they dressed down to look more like children, plus the scenes were changed around alot during the different shootings we did.

Title

This is the first font we decided on because it was creepy and slightly disturbing. In the end we decided to use a less dramatic font and go with a more suttle but affective one.

The top left hand picture is off the shot were we had all the candles being blown out symoultaniously. This was one of the hardest shots we made because after trying there was always one candle still lit . we are happy with our final shot.
The top right picture is off the juegy board filming wich was most of the film. After the filming we edited all the dream shots so that they flickered and was in black and white , just so that it was different to thesleeping shots so that you could tell the difference.

This is were we filmed our first scene of the man ( ross wood ) having a nightmare in his bed.for this shot we used the birds eye view angle so that we could zoom into the ross' face.
